I’ve been interested in WordPress for a long time, and even own a developer version of the Thesis theme though I haven’t used it in a long time.
I’m looking at different job opportunities in the freelance world, and I’m going to start looking more into WordPress development. I started with running WooCommerce for one of my side hobby sites, and now I’m going through WordPress Visual Quick Start Guide (third edition) to learn about theme development.
This site may look strange for a while as I use it to test my new themes.
Enjoy the ride!
I just started thinking about the term “data engineer” as something that may describe me more closely than “data scientist” based on my previous experience and current interests.
Not only was it an interesting article, but it led me to a free course on using IBM Watson which can be very useful, considering my knowledge of IBM Cognos and analytics in general. I’ve also worked briefly with Microsoft Azure as far as cloud platforms go, but only so far as doing a few tutorials.
I say that it might more closely describe me than the term “data science” because while I have taken some courses on the Coursera Data Science Specialization track I prefer to work at jobs that require more closely working with people and less with hardcore statistics. Descriptive statistics in Excel or exploratory data analysis in R Studio is about my level of comfort when it comes to pure analysis.
